The E4wASH Scale-Up project aims to build on a previously successful initiative, expanding its reach and
impact' This project focuses on delivering an integrated package that includes clean energy technology,
access to safe water, improved WASH (water, sanitation, and Hygiene) practices, and behaviour changes
that align with community needs. Additionally, it emphasizes climate-smart adaptation in agriculture,
ensuring a holistic approach that involves community participation and stakeholder ownership for long-term
sustainability. By harnessing clean and renewable solar energy, the project will provide safe water and
improved sanitation to nine impoverished hilltop communities and schoots in Jajarkot. This access will have
a significant impact on health and education, particularty for girls, allowing them to stay in school during
menstruation' Moreover, improved water access will facilitate increased crop volume and diversity,
benefiting both household consumption and sales.
Location(s): Jajarkot District, Karnali province, Nepal.
